New York State Department of Environmental Conservation (NYSDEC) issued a Record of Decision (ROD) for the Nassau Gas Works MGP Site in September 2020. The ROD presents the remedy selected to address contamination related to the site. The ROD is posted in Key Documents and includes:

• A cover system which currently exists and that shall be maintained;
• Installation of coal tar recovery wells;
• Implementation of a Health and Safety Plan and Community Air Monitoring Plan; and
• Recording of an Environmental Easement.
