New York State Department of Environmental Conservation (NYSDEC) canceled the public meeting for the Nassau Gas Works MGP Site Proposed Remedial Action Plan (PRAP), originally scheduled for Thursday, March 19, 2020 at 7:00 PM at Brooklyn Navy Yard Building 92, Brooklyn. NYSDEC also postponed a related public comment period for the proposed remedy, which originally had been scheduled to run through March 29, 2020.
To limit the community spread of COVID-19, Governor Cuomo issued Executive Order 202.15 suspending in-person public meetings relating to proposed site remedies. The NYSDEC remains committed to providing the public with ample opportunity to provide input on proposed remedies in your community. You are encouraged to provide comments in writing to the NYSDEC Project Manager during the 30-day public comment period, from April 22 through May 22, 2020.
